GT5: The IS-F

I have the Lexus IS F '07 now, and it is beautiful! Slapped on some white Volk TE37 on it, although I might switch to a set of Enkei wheels... Who knows? Other mods include a coloured carbon hood (Note the small clips sticking out of the hood in the last picture), to keep a discreet feel to the car, as well as small upgrades to the intake. A twin plate clutch was the first thing I installed onto the car, since I shift a lot during corners...

After taking this picture, I realised that the car is actually sitting quite high, and since the suspension is quite soft and I had performed some weight reduction to the car, I think I need to lower it further by giving it fully adjustable suspensions instead.

Right now, the car understeers quite a bit during high speed drifts, although this does make it quite easy to maintain. First thing I would want to do now is to lower it, and hopefully work on the spring rate settings.

I will post more on the progression of tuning tomorrow...

GT5: Meet the... Wait huh?

I had to restart my career... After going overboard with the modifications on the MX5, I went bankrupt because the changes didn't really make the car any faster... What was even worse was that the money spent on it altogether could probably have bought another 3 different cars...

SO... Starting afresh, I decided to chose a Suzuki SWIFT Sport '07 since FF cars are quite fun to drive after they are tuned.

The camera controls are starting to making more sense after my dad explained to me about the different controls, as well as giving me a few guidelines on shutter speed during different situations, as well as the focusing settings.

The dual plate clutch really helps bring out the low power of the car, and I only replaced the flywheel when I bumped the power up considerably to make sure power isn't lost when going up inclines. I think the car has around 40HP less than Brian's EK9 Civic, but I'm sure its better around the corners. He tears me apart on the straight though.

Exterior mods include a set of Enkei RP03, carbon front lip, and carbon spoiler that... Doesn't look much haha.

Anyway, I don't think I'll do many live shots of this car, but it depends.
Hopefully I will be able to get a car to drift, I tried out the Lexus IS-F on the online garage, and I really liked how that handles while going sideways. Only problem with with drifting on this game is that I cannot drift at all with the steering wheel...

Either that or its the car I'm using, I'm not sure. Maybe I'll give it another try some other time.

GT5: iStormFX's career start

After years off waiting, the game finally arrives....with the help of Jihin's speedy delivery! :D
Hmm... I decided to choose a Honda CIVIC TYPE R (EK) '97? Well I think that is what it's called.

MY FIRST CAR!! It's pretty isn't it?
Championship white paint with a magnificent carbon hood....

Surprisingly the stock rims are really nice... so I didn't bother changing them. Exhaust pipe is new, but I don't think you can tell from this picture. Camera controls were quite tricky and it was difficult capturing a snapshot of the exhaust pipe spitting fire. :0
I guess I will have to try harder next time...

Guess where I am driving through? I'm sure it is pretty obvious. Oh yea, if you don't know who iStormFX is, it's me Brian, Jip's best friend :P

GT5: Meet the MX5

My copy of GT5 came through the post a few hours ago, so I guess I can now do a diary of what I do in the game! After all, its pretty fun with all the photography and stuff...
First car I decided to get was a Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) '89... I think...
Stock blue colour, first came the spoiler, then the rims, then the hood.... And all the performance parts so far in between!

Hello there! You may already have noticed my TE37s!=D

And my shiny exhaust!

This picture is quite bad actually, the camera controls were too realistic for my liking, I had no idea what I was doing......

Next upgrades to come:
  • Flywheel
  • ...Worse tires for drifting purposes
  • LSD....? I am still not sure what that does...

Anyway, I hope this can become regular, and should be entertaining as well!

Pretty awesome if I don't say so myself. Not sure what everyone else thought though, and I'm already questioning myself whether or not I am even ok in the view of my friends.

...Either way, its not like I can change who I am straight away, and I would probably just go with what ever seems to be acceptable. Change is gradual, and at least I am willing to, right?

This post probably sounds like a complete mess to be honest, but I can't really be bothered to proof read or anything. I wonder if the person on my mind reads this blog......?

Hell, starting to feel like crap now, but once again I'm not even sure why...
My life feels meaningless. What have I done in the past 18 years that is worth remembering?

To be honest with you, it might just be the music... I need to lay off this "down-tempo" shit, and get into some crazy J-pop or K-pop.

Lol, like that would ever happen.
